Summarize PDF File Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Utilizing OpenAI’s ChatGPT API, you can employ this feature to summarize the main points of any document, thereby saving time for when you need to quickly understand the key takeaways from a document without reading through the entire thing. All-About-PDF’s PDF summarization feature offers four styles of document summarization, namely:

  • Keywords

To use this feature, you must sign up and obtain an API key from OpenAI

Once you have obtained your key, follow the steps below to summarize your PDF files with All-About-PDF.

  1. Download and install the latest All-About-PDF version.

  2. Open All-About-PDF from the Windows Start menu

  3. From the All-About-PDF Home screen, click on the "Summarize" button.

  4. In the Summarize window, select the PDF file you want to analyze.

  5. Select the style of summary that you would like to get.

  6. Enter your OpenAI key and the maximum amount of tokens you would like to use to process the file.

  7. Click the "GO" button to create your document summary. When processing is completed, All-About-PDF will prompt you to select a location to save the summary text file and will open it once saved.
